Guringai Festival

Founded in 2001 by local resident, Susan Moylan-Coombs, the Guringai Festival aims to raise awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Northern Sydney region.  The festival runs between Sorry Day on 26 May to the end of NAIDOC Week in July, and is a celebration of culture and heritage.
The festival involves 11 councils, and numerous reconciliation and community groups, with a program that includes local events, workshops, art exhibitions, performances, films and talks, which brings together individuals, families and communities.
